William B. Folsom A great knowledge of birds and photography came together to create a truly great image. The "frozen" stage of the hunter looking for a fish to catch against a really slow shutter speed to create a blurred waterfalls. A really great photographer… Andy!<!->
Andy Nguyen - Wild Wings Photography Thank you so much for sharing your opinion, Mr. Folsom. It shows not only you're a person with an eye for the art as well as in depth knowledge about bird behavior. You're very correct, the Green Heron was standing very still staring at the water waiting for a fish to swim within range. All I had to do was just being patient and making sure I don't make a mistake with my techniques.
The White Pelican is indeed a graceful bird, especially when in flight. I know there're many people out there who'd wish they get to see them up close like this (overfilling my 150-600mm lens). If you're fortunate enough to find a place like this, all that remains is let your photography do the beautiful bird justice.
On a busy autumn afternoon,
I was out at the Wildlife Sanctuary.
At a time of opportune
to enjoy some tranquility.
An angelic Snowy Egret flew,
doing her little dancing trick.
Naturally I thought of my FB fans: you

Tiếc thu sắp tàn
Cây đà trơ trụi xơ xác tóc
Phơi thân còm cõi khẳng khiu cành
Buồn thu hấp hối mưa thầm khóc
Tiếc nuối người đem chút dỗ dành
Máy ảnh nằm buồn trong góc kệ
Còn đâu chờ buổi nắng vàng hanh
Thu cả sắc thu vào ống kính
Đam mê sót lại chút mong manh.
