Thứ Sáu vừa qua, Hạ Viện đã thông qua luật này, cũng với đa số áp đảo: 375 / 34.

Legislation applying sanctions on human rights abusers and corrupt officials across the globe was passed by Congress as part of an annual defense-authorization bill, sending it to the White House to be signed into law.

mittee on the Judiciary, for a period to be subsequently determined by
the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall with-
in the jurisdiction of the committee concerned
AN ACT
To impose sanctions with respect to foreign persons respon- sible for gross violations of internationally recognized human rights, and for other purposes.
