The Vietnam Human Right Act
The Vietnam Human Rights Act aims to make human rights a priority in U.S.-Vietnam relations. It calls for action against rights violators, fights censorship, protects religious and labor rights, and ensures Congress stays informed. For Vietnamese Americans, it means more U.S. support if facing human rights issues in Vietnam and increased pressure on the Vietnamese government to improve freedoms and reduce abuses through tools like trade, sanctions, and diplomacy.

As this bill could impact many Vietnamese Americans and their families, we believe it’s essential to hear your voices and gather community input. Đạo luật Nhân quyền Việt Nam nhằm đặt nhân quyền làm ưu tiên trong quan hệ giữa Hoa Kỳ và Việt Nam. Luật kêu gọi hành động chống lại những người vi phạm nhân quyền, đấu tranh chống kiểm duyệt, bảo vệ quyền tự do tôn giáo và quyền lao động, đồng thời đảm bảo Quốc hội Hoa Kỳ được cập nhật thường xuyên. Đối với người Mỹ gốc Việt, đạo luật này đồng nghĩa với việc nhận được nhiều sự hỗ trợ hơn từ chính phủ Hoa Kỳ nếu bản thân hoặc gia đình gặp vấn đề nhân quyền tại Việt Nam, và gia tăng áp lực lên chính quyền Việt Nam nhằm thúc đẩy tự do và giảm các hành vi đàn áp, thông qua các công cụ như thương mại, chế tài và ngoại giao.
VAC mong muốn giới thiệu Đạo luật Nhân quyền Việt Nam đến cộng đồng và lắng nghe ý kiến của quý vị về vấn đề quan trọng này. Vì đạo luật này có thể ảnh hưởng đến nhiều người Mỹ gốc Việt và gia đình của họ, chúng tôi tin rằng việc lắng nghe tiếng nói của cộng đồng là vô cùng cần thiết. Quan điểm của quý vị sẽ giúp chúng tôi cân nhắc cách tốt nhất để ủng hộ và vận động cho nhân quyền.

Dragon Boat Festival
VAC just wanted to send a big thank you from all of the sponsor for supporting VAC team in this year’s Dragon Boat Festival!
