To our community,The first doses of FDA-approved vaccines have arrived in the Bay Area. It is not enough to distribute generally, but the first vaccines are being provided to the medical workers and staff who work in dangerous conditions treating COVID-19 patients. It is important to maintain the many habits that we have adopted to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The vaccine is not yet generally available, and if we want to be able to visit friends and family, see businesses re-opened, and begin the work of rebuilding our economy, we must continue to wash our hands, wear face masks, and maintain physical distancing. <!>We also want to show our appreciation to Santa Clara County Board President Cindy Chavez for bestowing upon us the Medal for Outstanding Service During the COVID-19 Pandemic. Board President Chavez along with Santa Clara County have been amazing allies and have truly led the nation in our COVID-19 response. We are honored to partner with the county and ensure that critical information reaches our communities.
